DFS
Clark County Department of Family Services
DFS is the local public agency whose role is to help keep children safe. The agency was formed in July 2002 in response to the merger of state and county child welfare services. DFS Protects children from abuse and neglect by partnering with our community to build safe, nurturing and stable families, to support family preservation when possible, to provide permanent families for those children who cannot safely return home and to ensure the well-being of children in our care.
Medicaid
Nevada Departments of Health and Human Services
Medicaid is a jointly funded, Federal-State health insurance program for low-income and needy people. It covers children, the aged, blind, and/or disabled and other people who are eligible to receive federally assisted income maintenance payments. Thirty-two states and the District of Columbia provide Medicaid eligibility to people eligible for Supplemental Security Income (SSI ) benefits. In these States, the SSI application is also the Medicaid application.

Created during the 2011 session of the Nevada Legislature, the Governor’s Office of Economic Development is the result of a collaborative effort between the Nevada Legislature and Governor Brian Sandoval to restructure economic development in the state. GOED’s role is to promote a robust, diversified and prosperous economy in Nevada, to stimulate business expansion and retention, encourage entrepreneurial enterprise, attract new businesses and facilitate community development.

Montevista Hospital is a 162-bed state-of-the-art mental health facility built specifically with our patients needs in mind. Montevista is dedicated to providing quality behavioral health care to promote growth and structure for patients and families throughout southern Nevada. We treat children, adolescents, adults, and seniors in both inpatient and outpatient settings. We also provide 48 adolescent, residential beds for our community’s needs.
